It measures about 9 7/8" by 5 7/8" and is about 1 1/2" tall

but it looks like they were just held on with cloth tape so it could be repaired

These seem to be pre war or possibly war time. There have been some of these turn up with war time dates but this sometimes seems dubious to me, like it was added. These are basically brand new unused boxes that just have some age and discoloration from many decades of storage. The last photos show the damage. We also have them for sale individually here.
