The waning summer light made such a beautiful effect across this field that I almost couldn’t even keep up with the glowing

I turned it 90 degrees and painted over it

I resolved that this would be the year that I finally got back out on my bike

Departure Sky The waning summer light madeAs an upper Midwesterner transplanted to the southern Appalachians, I have to work hard to find open, panoramic vistas reminiscent of my youth. I caught this moment just outside of Knoxville, Tennessee during a mild summer evening. The graceful clouds drew my interest because of their sweeping movement across the scene as day faded into evening.
